Well, I went on a shopping frenzy last night at this great little shop in Wilton Manors called To the Moon. They have so much vintage and current super hero stuff that my head is still spinning from it all. I tried to limit my purchases to Batman only, but Graham has really drawn me into the whole Wonder Woman thing and I abashedly admit that I am hooked. And so there I am, arms full of super hero merchandise, giddy with excitement because I know that Graham is going to go absolutely NUTS when he sees all of this stuff. And the truth of the matter is that as we get deeper and deeper into The Justice League on DVD, I find that I really enjoy the Batman character. His moodiness, irony, sarcasm, and dry humor are a real draw for me, and apparently for Graham as well since he idolizes him. And I remember watching Wonder Woman when I was a kid...staying home from school sick it was great to be able to catch the Amazon Princess in action come mid-afternoon. So no wonder that today I continue to be drawn to her, only this version of WW is much better. Her Justice League years are the best...she is so raw and edgy. Definitely a righteous babe, and I love it!
And so, back to the merchandise, the fabulous merchandise! Graham is getting a Batman towel, hanging string lights with Batman heads for the lights, action key chain with flashlight, action key chain with zip cord, giant Justice League coloring book, Batman water bottle, Batman ornament, Batman stickers, batman place mat, Batman Wrist Band, flying Batman that attaches to the ceiling and flies in circles, and vintage action figures of Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman (oh my!)! I am totally supporting his habit, I know, but what can I say? I love that kid and his addiction to Batman compliments my addiction to Wonder Woman! And what mom does not want her child to look up to her as a crime fighting Amazon Princess anyway...especially one as hot as Wonder Woman...which is exactly the thinking that justified my personal purchases...my WW wrist band that looks almost like it could be a bullet proof wrist cuff (a girl can dream), a WW journal for my step work, and my new WW mug that says "This Amazon Princess Will Not Bow To ANY Man!" Who needs a golden lasso when you have a mug with a slogan like that?
Also picked up some great bumper stickers that will probably not make it onto my car, but are awesome nonetheless. I will post the pictures for your viewing enjoyment.
Saving the world, one day at a time...WW
